David Beckham admant that there is no problem

David Beckham believes there is no difficulty between Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney.

The 30 year old England skipper remarked:"People were saying there was an issue between Michael and Wayne but it is because they are the two main strikers that people want to say that.

"In our squad it is impossible to fall out over something like that. There is no problem and there never has been. The team spirit is the best since I started playing for my country."

Blues rocked by Upson injury blow

Matthew Upson is expected to be out of action for six months. The Birmingham City defender will undergo surgery on Wednesday.

Manager Steve Bruce cut a dejected figure when confirming that the midlanders have been hit by further injury problems:"It is terrible news, a blow, but he is a strong character and can come back. Over the years he has been a big, big player for us

Upson's season has been ravaged by injuries and a distraught Bruce remarked:"We had eased Matthew back carefully after his other injuries and had hoped he would be available for the finale to the season," said Bruce.

Ferguson hopes Chelsea fail to win title against Manchester United

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson will be eager that the Red Devils can extend a proud two and a half years unbeaten record in the capital against Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho's side can win the Championship if they glean a draw, but Ferguson is refusing to admit defeat: "It will be a fantastic game. We need to make that second spot.

"Hopefully we can achieve that. It keeps the fans interested and keeps everybody at the club interested and keeps the season bubbling away."

"There are times when you have the title sewn up and there is a bit of complacency about the place," stated the enthusiastic United boss.
